Kosacki Music

Songwriter Thomas Liljeruhm

Septermber 9

I've submitted a new cool song demo to both the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix and the Swedish Melodifestivalen. Co-written and produced by Norwegian songwriter Bjørn Vang. Fingers crossed!

February 1 2019

I'm still actively writing song lyrics. Last years I finished five lyrics that I'm really, really, satisfied with.

I made one song demo and submitted it to both the Swedish and the Norwegian national qualifications for the Eurovision Song Contest qualification contest (Melodifestivalen & Melodi Grand Prix). But if was sadly rejected. It's called "Partying Like Vikings" and you can now listen to here on the homepage.

November 10

Last night I entered my song ”Crazy Hot” to an online pitch opportunity at the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). This time it was Danny Traynor (Songwriter and VP of Operations) at song publishing company Bandwagon Red that listen to all 52 songs and said if he was interested or passed on them. About “Crazy Hot” he kept the lyric sheet and said that he: ”wanted to hear more from Thomas (and also learn how to pronounce his last name)”. He probably didn't "take" the song, but it sure sounded like he is going to contact me later.

Anyway, it’s a step in the right direction. :)

September 15

I got a new demo song, "Lovers Gonna Love", back from Nashville and I'm very happy with the result. I have submitted the song to Melodifestivalen 2016 (a huge Swedish song contest). It's a pop song specially written for this competition.

Update: No luck this year either. But thanks for your support and now you can listen to the song here.

March 7 (and ongoing)

I started co-writing with Socie Marie from Nashville. We are currently working on six different songs.

February 26

These past six weeks I’ve participated in an online “Lyric Master Class” through SongTown and with the hit songwriter Marty Dodson as the teacher. My goal was to try to step up my lyric writing to another level as well as connect to other talented songwriters. I believe I succeeded with both. Here's the titles of my three best lyrics from this class: “Rocket Science”, “Highly Delusional” and “Earthquake”. You can read the lyrics on my Facebook page!

January 9 2015

I got selected to participate in the "Songtown Lyric Master Class". The course is six weeks long and starts on Monday January 19. I'm hoping to both become a better songwriter and to find new co-writers.

October 31

My tenth demo song, "Crazy Hot" is fininshed! A contemporary country song. If not the best, at least the most complicated one.

October 24

My eleventh song, "What Lovers Do Best" is released! It's a pop love ballad it's a collaboration with my friend Adam "Addy Ace" Bergman and Norwegian singer/songwriter Kai Hermo. I wrote the lyric and Kai wrote the beautiful melody. Adam is singing and has produced the song.

September 9

I got my tenth demo, "Crazy Hot", back. I also submitted the song to Melodifestivalen 2015 (a huge Swedish song contest), but I have very low hopes for it to be selected.

April 17

"A Guy's Best Friend" recieved a semi-finalist placement in the pop catergory in the Song of the Year songwriting contest. That's means my song wasn't in the top five, but it's still pretty good.

January 9 2014

"I Still Haven't Found Your Flaw" bacame a finalist (top 5) in SongwriterUniverse's January "Song of the Month" song contest! My song and my contact information will be featured on their website.

One interesting thing about this website and song contest is that it's created and run by Dale Kawashima. He is famous since he used to be a music publisher and supervised and represented many of the world's top catalogs, including the songs of Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Prince, Stevie Wonder.

December 31

My song "Model In disguise" became a Honorable Mention at SongTownUSA's "Whatcha waitin' on song contest"! It means the song where somewhere between place 11-30.

SongTownUSA is created and run by Clay Mills and Marty Dodson. They are both professional and famous country music songwriters in Nashville.

December 21

My ninth song, "She Knows She's Hot" is fininshed! It's a dance song and it's a collaboration with my friend Adam "Addy Ace" Bergman. He has done most of the music and the producing and he's also singing on the song.

December 6

My song "Model In Disguise" became a "runner up" in the country category at the Song of the Year contest. It means it wasn't either a winner or a finalist, but it's still pretty good.

November 29

My song "I Still Haven't Found Your Flaw" was recommended for consideration at the next "Pitch to Publisher" luncheon at NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International)!

This 'only' means that the song is through to the next round where the other members of the organisation will decide on and finally choose 15 songs that they will play for music publishers...

But it has been a personal goal for 2013 to reach this next level with my songwriting.

October 16

I got my eight demo/song, "Tractor Heaven", back! This one is quite different. It's my first co-write. The Norwegian singer/songwriter Kai Hermo (www.kaihermo.no) has co-written the lyric and composed the music. Kai ia also singing on the song and he will promote it with his band in Norway.
